Galiano committee advances Crystal Mountain proposal to public hearing
The committee directed staff to schedule a hearing for May 6, after staff said it would work with the Capital Regional District on an emergency-access question and report back before the hearing.[^1]

The proposed Crystal Mountain rezoning is set to go to a public hearing on Saturday, May 6, at the Lions Park Society Hall, in a hybrid in-person and electronic meeting.[1]
The Galiano Island Local Trust Committee directed staff to schedule the hearing for application GL-RZ-2014.1 at its February 7 meeting.[1]
During discussion, staff said they would work with the Capital Regional District to resolve a question about a registered statutory right of way on Lot B and ensure emergency access, then report back before the hearing.[1]
Staff also recommended that any rezoning approval be subject to an approved provincial water licence.[1]
