Galiano bylaws advance to Islands Trust and minister for approval
The local trust committee gave proposed amendments to its official community plan and land use bylaw third readings and voted to forward them for approval.

The proposed amendments, Bylaws 287 and 288, will go to the Islands Trust Executive Committee for approval after the Galiano Island Local Trust Committee voted to forward them on Nov. 14, 2023.[1]
The committee gave Bylaw 287, an amendment to the official community plan, second and third readings, then voted to send it to the Minister of Municipal Affairs for approval.[1]
The committee also gave Bylaw 288, an amendment to the land use bylaw, second and third readings.[1]
The minutes identify the application as GL-RZ-2022.2 (Hayes) and record that Island Planner Kim Stockdill reviewed the legislative next steps after the public hearing.[1]
