Galiano trustees approve development variance for storage building
The Local Trust Committee approved a variance for GL-DVP-2023.4 after discussion about setbacks, a cement slab and tree removal.

The Galiano Island Local Trust Committee approved issuance of development variance GL-DVP-2023.4 at its May 14 meeting. [1]
The applicant said the building was intended for storage and to work on cars. [1]
The meeting discussion noted that moving the cement slab to meet setback regulations would require the removal of trees. [1]
The committee also decided that its interests were unaffected by the Mayne Island Local Trust Committee’s Draft Bylaw No. 193. [1]
The committee approved text for inclusion in the 2023/24 Annual Report, subject to approval by Trust Council and submission to the Minister of Municipal Affairs. [1]
